Air Conditioning

Air Conditioning helps to keep your vehicle cool during hot days. It improves the quality of the air inside your vehicle as well as filter out pollen, air borne bacteria and pollutants. During the winter Air Conditioning can help keep windows demisted.

We can check if your vehicle’s Air Con system is working correctly. If your system requires a recharge we can carry the work out quickly. It takes around 45 minutes to discharge and refill your Air Conditioning unit with fresh refrigerant. Once re-charged you should feel the difference immediately in your air conditioning. Keeping you cool all summer long.

Sometimes the problem may arise when there is a leak in the Air Conditioning System. Our team can diagnose the leak and once this has been resolved, can re charge the gas.

When to Re-charge?

As soon as you suspect it’s not working as efficiently or there is a problem with it, such as the temperature dropping or an unusual smell. *There are 2 types of Air Con Re-Charge Gas. We provide services for R134A. Please check your vehicle hand book to identify which Air conditioning refrigerant your vehicle requires or call into Carnoustie Tyres and we will be happy to assist.

Air-Con checks are not part of your annual car service.
